Epoxy Flooring Warranty
-
Natural Cracking and Settling
- The customer acknowledges that cracks in concrete surfaces (like slabs, pads, driveways, steps, and sidewalks) can naturally occur due to settling and shrinkage. ProEx Coatings does not guarantee that cracks will not form.
-
Color and Weathering Variations
- ProEx Coatings is not responsible for color changes in the flooring material due to exposure to ultraviolet light or weathering. These effects are natural, and the extent of discoloration will vary depending on UV exposure and usage.
- Normal traffic on the flooring can cause wear patterns, especially in high-traffic areas. Regular maintenance is required to preserve the appearance of the surface.
-
Warranty Coverage
- The warranty specifically covers adhesion failures, cracking, and delamination (except when caused by substrate movement or natural earth shifting).
- The warranty is valid for a period specified in the agreement.
- Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damage from:
- Abuse
- Excessive weight
- Force
- Chemicals
- Neglect
- Dropping or dragging objects causing cracks, scratches, or chips.
-
Free Annual Inspections
- A free yearly inspection is offered but is not mandatory for the warranty to remain valid. Customers can arrange the inspection by contacting ProEx Coatings.
- If issues are found during the inspection and are not addressed within the suggested time frame, ProEx Coatings may terminate the warranty.
-
Repair and Replacement
- If materials are found defective, ProEx Coatings may repair or replace them at their discretion, provided the customer follows the care and maintenance guidelines.
Concrete Coatings Care and Maintenance
The customer is required to follow the maintenance instructions to ensure the warranty stays valid:
-
Cleaning
- Interior: Regular cleaning, such as vacuuming, damp mopping is required.
- Exterior: Power washing and an approved detergent can be used.
-
Special Areas
- High-traffic areas like garages, workshops, food courts, showrooms, restrooms, etc., require regular deep cleaning.
-
Avoid Harsh Chemicals
- Keep solvents, paint thinners, muriatic acid, and other caustic agents away from the surface, as these can damage the floor.
-
Resealing
- Due to wear from UV light and floor traffic, resealing is required. This is essential to maintain the warranty and protect the floor. Customers are advised to contact ProEx Coatings for resealing prices and to schedule an appointment.
This agreement establishes clear responsibilities for both ProEx Coatings and the customer. ProEx Coatings will ensure the product’s durability under normal conditions but limits liability for factors outside of its control, such as natural wear and misuse. Regular maintenance and care, including cleaning and resealing, are crucial to ensuring the longevity of the flooring and the validity of the warranty.
Additional ProEx Coatings Warranty Terms
- The warranty applies only as long as the property remains in the possession of the original owner, and ProEx Coatings has been paid in full for providing the floor.
- Damage due to substrate movement and/or cracking causing telegraph cracks or other damage to the ProEx material is not covered.
- ProEx Epoxy Floors follow the contour of the substrate and does not alter floor slope.
- Repairs will be limited to the defect areas and will exclude compensation for additional costs such as temporary storage or lost revenue during repair.
